Sequoia / Kings Canyon National Parks  September 2009

The sequoias are truly magnificent.  These are in the Round Meadow  in the Giant Forest area.  The bases are the picture below.

Frank and Pixie on top of Moro Rock near the entry to Sequoia NP.

Many of the sequoias end up growing together as their girth expands over the years - these are probably about a hundred years old as they still have growth on top.

Here's Frank inside the Fallen Monarch (used to stable horses at one time!)  We also  have a photo of him with Karin and Jeremy there when they were 2 and 5 yrs old.

Here I am on a hike through the fall colors amidst a talus field in Kings Canyon.  So very reminiscent of Yosemite!

Grizzly Falls in Kings Canyon.  This is a miniscule representation of what we took and I'm always happy to share more - just stop by! More in my Facebook albums, too.
